how it all started
The Triumph of Love didn't originally start as a ministry project. It started with my love of art.
Since the start of Triumph of Love back in spring of 2012, I have been committed to letting it evolve and grow as an authentic expression of myself and my art. As a disabled young woman, I have had to try different forms of interpretation allowing myself to change, adapt and eventually let go of some forms of my art. In that spring of 2012, The Triumph of Love started with clothing; specifically working with patchwork designs. I loved working with patchwork, but I soon realized I couldn’t keep up with that level of intricate work. Instead of shutting down, I let myself explore and go into other directions. That exploration led me to share vintage items and then in Autumn of 2013 I launched my candle line. I also loved making candles and sharing what that created in people’s lives. Candles were and still are a passion of mine, but I again realized, I could no longer keep that part of Triumph of Love and I had to let it go.
I have found through the sharpening of hardships and buffing of time, that Triumph of Love has found its purpose. The adaptation of Triumph of Love shows exactly what it is meant to symbolize… triumph over obstacles through love. By giving myself the space to let go and embrace new ideas, I have been able to create this ministry. I am aware and understanding of my personal creativity, limitations, and strengths. I know when and what to let go of to be honest with self, while not giving up.
Now, in 2017, Triumph of Love has become a Christian Art Ministry set to inspire artists (and those just curious about art) to develop and find balance in life, love, faith & creativity.
I continue to lead from the heart.
I could not get to this place with out the love and support of those around me, who believed in me when I did not.
